Free exhibition stands at SheffEX 2014

SheffEX, one of Sheffield’s biggest business events has announced a special initiative for charities and social enterprises.

SheffEX is running a competition to give away five free exhibition stands to charities, social enterprises or charitable organisations working in the region. Over 2,000 people are expected to attend the event which takes place at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on the 1st of December.

The first SheffEX event was held in June of 2014 and attracted delegates from across the city and the wider Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire regions.

Event organiser Tony Carroll said: “Attendance as a delegate is free to all employees and volunteers from charities, social enterprises and community groups, but we want to offer a little more support the local organisations which do great work in and around South Yorkshire. It’s about encouraging good causes and businesses to find new ways of working together in partnerships that are mutually beneficial.”

“More than 100 exhibitors are expected at SheffEX 2 and the successful good causes will have the opportunity to network and explain how their organisation makes a difference in the South Yorkshire region. Any organisation or group, small or large, with local roots can apply and it isn’t necessary to be a registered charity.”

Applicants must register for SheffEX and write a pitch to organisers outlining who they are and why exhibiting would benefit them. For more details, visit www.sheffex.com
