Sign Envy – An X-20 Trusswire Success Story

We recently helped Sign Envy with their exhibition stand at the BodyPower Expo at the NEC.

The client asked us to provide them with some initial ideas on how they would go about designing a modular stand. They go to lots of exhibitions and are generally assigned different sized areas each time and at each individual venue.

They needed a cost effective solution that they could reuse time and time again, one that was easy to set up and easy to transport as they worked their way around exhibitions over the country. Their other requirement was that they must be able to change the branding easily.

Sign Envy had tried many other solutions in the past. Bespoke builds had often been very expensive and wasteful, as most of the stand couldn’t be reused after the show. On the other hand, magnetic pop-ups were also expensive and not versatile enough to accommodate all of the different sized spaces the client was assigned at these exhibitions, as well as it being a hassle to change the magnetic banners during setup on these types of stand.

We were initially in communication on the design stages and provided CADs for all the layouts that might suit them, using their parts to minimise costs and find a solution offered flexibility but suited their budget. Initially, the client’s budget started off at £7 to £10k – they wanted something they could add to every year, and didn’t want to fork out too much on a solution they didn’t know was right for them yet. Eventually, the client settled on the X-20 Trusswire stand. The client chose this stand as the X-20 Trusswire is so easy to store and transport.

We helped them to select the stand elements from this collection that were going to be most helpful as a basic setup – including the main stand, tables and racking (all made from the X-20 Trusswire components), and printing all the Black Back Pro banners (which they love!). We loaned this to the client initially to give them an idea of how it might suit them moving forwards. Because of this, we also assisted with setting up this stand at the NEC.

The expo was a great success and the client loved the versatility of the stand.

Now, Sign Envy do all their own builds and purchased the stand. Where their budget was so small before, they are now adding to their own stock year on year, and now have around £40,000 worth of X-20 Trusswire to help them build the perfect stand at any and every exhibition! They have some amazing displays and are renowned for their fantastic branding, and beautiful printed banners. This year, they have added TV brackets to hang any screen, shelves and other accessories from their stand.

In fact, Sign Envy have been so pleased with the X-20 that they have now started their own stand rental business, and rent out the X-20 product, including design and assembly. They have realised how easy the set up and assembly is, and wanted to share this new idea with all their existing clients.
