QEII Centre to host SDW exhibition stands in 2016

More than 100 exhibitors have signed up for the 10th edition of next-generation government and citizen identity conference and exhibition SDW 2016. Only five exhibition stands remain available although there are nine months left until the show.

SDW 2016 is a world-leading event comprising a multi-track conference and fully-featured exhibition. It provides a global showcase for next-generation human identity solutions, focusing on intrinsic document security and on the cutting-edge secure infrastructure now required to produce and use these advanced documents in live situations.

QEII Exhibtion Centre, London, UK

The event is one of the world’s largest gatherings of experts, end users and renowned speakers in this fast-moving industry.

Organisers say that the event has seen its fastest-ever sales, with the exhibition now expected to be sold out in a matter of weeks, if not days. SDW 2015, held in June, was the event’s most successful ever with a record number of visitors from over 70 nations.

SDW 2016 will be held at one of London’s leading exhibition venues; the prestigious QEII Centre in the heart of Westminster. The event hosts the leading document security companies and organisations in its 2-day exhibition (11-12 May 2016) and attracts top level executives and government officials from around the globe to the 3-day multi-track conference (10-12 May 2016).

Exhibition stands at Texcare International to grow

Texcare International, the leading international trade fair for textile care organised by Messe Frankfurt, is expanding it exhibition space by occupying more than 30 per cent extra space in 2016.

In addition to Hall 8, Messe Frankfurt will open Hall 9 for the next year’s event in Frankfurt am Main from 11 to 15 June, occupying 40,000 square metres of space. Messe Frankfurt announced the news at Texcare Asia in Shanghai, which concludes on 27 November.

Explaining how Texcare 2016 will develop thanks to the increase in space, Ruth Lorenz, vice president, Technology and Production, Messe Frankfurt, said, “Texcare International reached its limits for growth in 2012. Therefore, we decided to open Hall 9 in addition to Hall 8. Many exhibitors from both Germany and abroad took advantage of this opportunity to enlarge their exhibition stands.

Moreover, we have been able to include a number of new exhibitors, and if we look at the exhibition space occupied by countries, we see a significant increase from Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, and Turkey. In other words Texcare is becoming even more international.”

General Elgar, director, VDMA Garment and Leather Technology, the conceptual partner of Texcare International, speaking positively of the expansion said, “We are very pleased that Texcare International 2016 will occupy an extra exhibition hall and thus take account of the greatly increased demand by existing exhibitors for space to expand. This means better presentation opportunities for exhibitors, while, for visitors the additional space and exhibitors make the fair even more attractive.”

The top themes at Texcare International 2016 include Industry 4.0, energy and resource efficiency, textile innovations and their applications, as well as careers and training. The programme will be prepared by Messe Frankfurt. The exhibitors include market leaders like Ecolab, Girbau, Jensen, Lavatech, Multimatic Ilsa, Pellerin Milnor, Alliance, Kreussler, Veit, Kannegeisser, and Miele.

In addition to Texcare International, Messe Frankfurt will also hold Texcare Forum Russia in the autumn of 2016 in Moscow. If you are thinking of exhibiting at any of these trade shows and need help in planning your own exhibition stand design, call 200m2 Exhibitions on 020 333 200 92.

Flexible exhibition stands are changing the way we exhibit

In today’s global economy, it is no longer enough to think locally and expect to attract customers from around the world. The same can be said for exhibition stands.  For example, many of the big e-commerce exhibitions and conventions are in the United States of America. If you are looking to attract people in this niche area, then you need to travel!

If exhibitions drive a significant part of your revenue, or have the potential to do so, you need to be exhibiting at events regularly. In this news update we will take a look at some of the things you need to consider!

Culutal tone

Every country has its own culture. If you travel to Saudi Arabia for an exhibition, you wouldn’t expect exhibitors to be handing out free beer! Equally, if you are exhibiting in the UK, your approach would be more subdued than if you were exhibiting in Las Vegas. Make sure you think about your target audience and what is normal socially and culturally in that environment.

One size does not fit all

If you are used to exhibiting in your own country, don’t assume that everything will be the same overseas. Different exhibition centres have different rules and  the costs per metre of floor space will vary hugely. The biggest exhibition centre in the world is Hanover Messelande, with a capacity of well over 460,000 m²! Modular exhibition stands will help you adapt your display depending on both budget and the floor space available.

Understand your audience

As well as understanding the culture of the place you are exhibiting, it is also important to understand the people. People from different regions buy in different ways and they may expect a different approach than the one you are used to in your own country. By understanding the demographic profile and cultural backgrounds of your prospects, you can ensure you follow the best sales process.

Plan for success!

The golden rule in exhibition planning is not to expect the same situation in every exhibition around the world. You need to find out beforehand about how to tailor your approach and how to layout your stand to have the best chance of success.

Here at 200m2, we have been helping our customers to expand their exhibitions programme into new regions for over 20 years. We’d welcome the chance to do the same for you. To find out more about our range of global exhibition services, call us on 020 333 200 92.

‘Hire Convention’ exhibition set to be biggest yet!

With an impressive number of stands and a robust programme of content already confirmed, the second edition of ‘Hire Convention’ is promising to deliver much for delegates and exhibitors alike.

Organised by the Event Hire Association (EHA) and Hire Association Europe (HAE), the expo is the first of its kind to bring together hire businesses in the event, plant and tool sectors. Hire Convention will take place at the Holywell Park Conference Centre in Loughborough between 22 and 23 September.

With over 300 m2 of indoor space and an outdoor area for large vehicles, specialist equipment and demonstrations, delegates can expect to be impressed.  Some of the exhibitors confirmed to date include Calor Gas, JCB, Morris Site Machinery, Bosch Professional Power Tools & Accessories, Addex Group, Makita UK, Firefly Clean Energy, Belle Group, Karcher UK, Midland Power Distribution and Fein UK.

A superb speaker line-up includes keynotes from Google, Arup, Raleigh International, Ramirent, HSE and JCB. The topics covered include: Sustainable Construction, Working at Height, British manufacturing, Dust Legislation, Robots revolutionising build and design, Google’s future trends and Youth Partnerships.

In addition, HAE will be running its first ever Future Hirer’s Workshop, as part of the HAE EHA’s ongoing Future Hirer initiative. Backed by the CITB, it aims to encourage 18-30 year olds looking for work or a change of career to consider the hire sector.

The two-day convention will set the scene for industry leaders to unite in their efforts in addressing the widening skills gap, attracting new talent, looking at key challenges in the industry and scoping the future. Anyone involved in construction, facilities management, maintenance and events will find a visit to the show hugely beneficial.

As one of the UK leaders in exhibition stand hire, we’re incredibly proud to support this event.  Hiring an exhibition stand can be an extremely effective way to maximise the flexibility of your exhibition programme and add extra capacity when needed for a greatly reduced cost.  To find out more, call us on 020 333 200 92.
