Exhibition booths help Braun achieve success

Electronics brand Braun enjoyed a large turnout at its exhibition booth at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes with a high influx of European visitors.

Its exhibition stand had 57% of its total visitors across the four-day event come from Europe, more than last year’s event (42%). Its other share of visitors came from Asia Pacific (16%), Americas (13%), Middle East (12%), and a lower turnout coming from African visitors (2%, compared to 7% the year previous).

The brand said it had less airline buyers at its booth, 35% less than in 2014, citing that airlines are Braun’s least profitable segment in its travel-retail business.

Braun said its greatest interest was in the new Series 9 and Series 3 shavers, battery operated travel beard trimmer PT 5090 and Braun Face – a combination of a facial cleansing brush and a facial epilator. Visitors were also very interested in the display solutions presented at the company’s secondary location away from the main Braun exhibition booth. One of the exhibition displays presented the new partnership between Braun and Travel Blue which was particularly welcomed by major multi-location duty-free operators.

So what is an exhibition booth? Exhibition booths are essentially small exhibition stands which are designed to be easy to transport and quick to erect. In a retail setting, they usually are large enough to hold stock and they must be durable enough to endure the demands of the shop-floor environment.

More and more businesses are setting up booths in shopping malls or inside stores which re-sell their products. To find out more about exhibition booths and how they could help your brand, why not call 200m2 Exhibitions on 020 333 200 92.

Massive TAG Heuer exhibition at the Geneva Motor Show!

TAG Heuer has reaffirmed its motorsport connections with a massive exhibition stand at this year’s Geneva Motor Show (5th to 15th March 2015).

If you visited the show, it is probably fair to say that this was one of the most impressive exhibition stands at the show. Not only was it extremely large (1,000m2), the branding and choice of materials created a highly effective stand which oozed class and sophistication.

Whilst at the show, TAG Heuer unveiled two new TAG Heuer Carrera calibre 1887 chronographs and an exclusive limited edition red and black Formula 1. The special edition Formula 1 watch was created to celebrate 30 years of the company’s partnership with McLaren, the longest collaboration between a watch brand and a Formula 1 team.

The stand’s main focus was to outline the brand’s long history of associations within motorsports including Formula 1, rally and endurance events (TAG Heuer is one of the founding partners of the FIA Formula E series). This year also sees TAG Heuer return to the legendary Le Man 24 Hours in the LMP1 with Nissan’s GT-R LM Nismo.

During the exhibition the late, great Aryton Senna was posthumously named as a mentor to the brand’s Pantheon of Ambassadors.

As one of the leading exhibition stand contractors in the UK, we would like to congratulate TAG Heuer on creating a truly fantastic stand. We salute you!

Students help design exhibition stand for L’Oréal

The fashion and cosmetics brand L’Oréal has collaborated with the National University of Singapore Division of Industrial Design and its students to create a series of new L’Oréal exhibition stands (featuring 22 different brands) at this year’s TFWA Tax Free Asia Pacific show.

The students were encouraged to explore state-of the-art technologies and experiment with recycled materials to propose cutting-edge designs. Here at 200m2, we’re always pleased to see the use of recycled materials in exhibition stands. That’s why our own range of exhibition display stands make use of recycled composite materials and environmentally friendly inks.

As part of the design, the students had to take into consideration a professional brief, with variables and constraints, while adhering to the L’Oréal group corporate identity. Seven strong projects addressed the design brief – the winning proposal was chosen because “it not only matched but surpassed the expectations of the team,” L’Oréal explained.

If you’re planning your next exhibition and would like help with your own environmentally friendly design, feel free to contact 200m2 for advice.  Simply call +44 (0)20 333 200 92 and we’d be happy to help.

200m2 exhibits F&WHR’s new luxury carriage at London Paddington

Back in February 2013, 200m2 built a special display housing to showcase ‘Princess’, the world’s first narrow gauge steam engine.  Princess was returning to London for the first time in 150 years and went on display at London’s Paddington station to mark her 150th anniversary.

For her return to London, the Ffestiniog railway commissioned 200m2 to design and build a temporary structure around Princess to showcase this marvel of 18th century engineering.  200m2 built a structure around Princess using its X- 20 TRUSSwire gantry system.  High quality exhibition panel displays were then produced to hang from the structure to create a visual presence befitting a 150th birthday.

The exhibition was so popular, the Ffestiniog railway were invited to return to London Paddington again this year.  For the new display, F&WHR chose to display its new £250,000 luxury observation carriage, built to mark the 150th anniversary of passenger services on the Ffestiniog Railway.

Sir Peter Hendy CBE, Commissioner of Transport for London visited Paddington Station to examine the new carriage. Sir Peter presented F&WHR General Manager Paul Lewin and Chairman Dr John Prideaux with a London Transport roundel and in exchange received a replica of one of the hand-carved wooden dragons that adorn the interior of the new carriage.

The carriage will be on display at London Paddington station on Platforms 8&9 until the end of June.  To find out more about the display materials used to create this exhibition stand, call us on +44 20 3332 0092. Photos courtesy of Chris Parry.
